Our Story: From Ancient Wisdom to Everyday Care

If you had told us forty years ago that our experiments and handwritten Ayurvedic notes would one day evolve into a brand, we might have smiled politely and gone back to blending oils and herbs. But here we are... two doctors in our sixties, still guided by the same purpose that started it all: to nurture with honesty, purity, and love.

Our journey began long before medical degrees and clinics. It began generations ago, in homes where Ayurveda was more than tradition. It was our family’s way of understanding balance, beauty, and well-being. Our parents, and theirs before them, were Ayurvedic doctors and practitioners who taught us that caring for the body is also caring for the soul, that every fragrance and every ingredient holds meaning.

Those lessons stayed with us, even as science and modern medicine became our daily work. When our own children were young, we found ourselves returning to those same time-honoured methods... the essential oils, the gentle cleansers, the herbs that refreshed both skin and spirit. Slowly, our home became a space of quiet experimentation and inherited wisdom. What began as small acts of care for our family soon found appreciation among those around us.

That’s when we realised: this was not just tradition, it was timeless knowledge. One that deserved to be shared with the world.

So, with our combined experience as doctors and keepers of a generational Ayurvedic legacy, we created 5 ELM, not as a business, but as an offering. Every formulation we craft carries the depth of classical Ayurveda, thoughtfully adapted for modern rituals of self-care.
